هل أكون سني؟ شيعي؟ سلفي؟ مالكي؟.... ألخ.. أم ماذا؟

Should I be Sunni? Shi'i? Salafi? Maliki?...etc. or What?

When I was in my home country, specially the time after the 2003 war, Fitnah had happened among the people in terms of their belief... That group is Sunny.. another is Shi'i.. another is Wahabi and many others. A bloody civil war happened for couple of years among the Iraqi people because of that Fitnah.

When I left my country, I thought that Fitnah was only in Iraq or at least not worse than Iraq. But the facts told the opposite as When I went to London, I found Muslims there are very much into belief grouping. Then I came to Malaysia to find the problem is the same as Iraq and UK. And I'm sure the problem is the same all around the world.

So, I have started asking myself "Which group is the right group?" Then I found an article the same question as its title.

Here is a very simple part of the article. The chosen part contains the evidences from Qur'an on which our concluded answer based.

Seems like these days the Muslims now come in "All Flavors." There are so many different names of so many groups in the world today. But which are the "true Muslims?"

The groups carry names like:

Sunnies, Salafies, Shi'ites, Ahmadiyah, Kadianis Sufis, Nation of Islam, Hanafi, Shafi, Wahabi, Moorish Science, Five Percenters, Aghakhanis, Ansar Allah, Modernists, Reformed Muslims - etc.

So many sects and groups - all claim to be the "saved sect of Islam"

- But which one is the real Islam?

- How do we know for sure?

و جاء في سُوۡرَةُ آل عِمرَان: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِن تُطِيعُواْ فَرِيقً۬ا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ يَرُدُّوكُم بَعۡدَ إِيمَـٰنِكُمۡ كَـٰفِرِينَ (١٠٠) وَكَيۡفَ تَكۡفُرُونَ وَأَنتُمۡ تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱللَّهِ وَفِيڪُمۡ رَسُولُهُ ۥ‌ۗ وَمَن يَعۡتَصِم بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ هُدِىَ إِلَىٰ صِرَٲطٍ۬ مُّسۡتَقِيمٍ۬ (١٠١) يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِۦ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ (١٠٢) وَٱعۡتَصِمُواْ بِحَبۡلِ ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعً۬ا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُواْ‌ۚ وَٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ إِذۡ كُنتُمۡ أَعۡدَآءً۬ فَأَلَّفَ بَيۡنَ قُلُوبِكُمۡ فَأَصۡبَحۡتُم بِنِعۡمَتِهِۦۤ إِخۡوَٲنً۬ا وَكُنتُمۡ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفۡرَةٍ۬ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنۡہَا‌ۗ كَذَٲلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَہۡتَدُونَ (١٠٣) وَلۡتَكُن مِّنكُمۡ أُمَّةٌ۬ يَدۡعُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡخَيۡرِ وَيَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ‌ۚ وَأُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ (١٠٤) وَلَا تَكُونُواْ كَٱلَّذِينَ تَفَرَّقُواْ وَٱخۡتَلَفُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَـٰتُ‌ۚ وَأُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ۬ (١٠٥)

It's been written in Surat Ali-Imran: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O ye who believe! If ye obey a party of those who have received the Scripture they will make you disbelievers after your belief. (100) How can ye disbelieve, when Allah's revelations are recited unto you, and His messenger is in your midst? He who holdeth fast to Allah, he indeed is guided unto a right path. (101) O ye who believe! Observe your duty to Allah with right observance, and die not save as those who have surrendered (unto Him) (102) And hold fast, all of you together, to the cable of Allah, and do not separate. And remember Allah's favour unto you: how ye were enemies and He made friendship between your hearts so that ye became as brothers by His grace; and (how) ye were maketh clear His revelations unto you, that haply ye may be guided, (103) And there may spring from you a nation who invite to goodness, and enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency. Such are they who are successful. (104) And be ye not as those who separated and disputed after the clear proofs had come unto them. For such there is an awful doom, (105)

و جاء في سورةالأنعام: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُواْ دِينَہُمۡ وَكَانُواْ شِيَعً۬ا لَّسۡتَ مِنۡہُمۡ فِى شَىۡءٍ‌ۚ إِنَّمَآ أَمۡرُهُمۡ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُہُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ (١٥٩)

and It's been written in Surat Al-An'aam: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Lo! As for those who sunder their religion and become schismatics, no concern at all hast thou with them. Their case will go to Allah, Who then will tell them what they used to do. (159)

So the Conclusion is, The group who says "We are Muslims" represent the real Islam, those who say "Our Religion is Islam" as the answer for the question "What is your Religion?".

Philosophy of Man and woman is a hard one, little those who understood it

الرجل ورقـة كتب عليها : أرجو الاحترام

The man is a paper written over it [Respect please!]

المرأه ورقة كتـب عليها: ارجو الاهتمام

The woman is a paper written over it [Care-Take please]

فأهتم بالمرأه تحترمك ..

واحترمي الرجل يهـتم بك ..

”So man, Take care of the woman, she would respect you...

and Women, Respect the man, he would Take care of you...

فلسفة صعبة قليل من يفهموها

It's a difficult philosophy.. Little those who understand it

حكمة مؤخوذة من قصة النبي يوسف عليه السلام

A Wisdom taken from the story of the Prophet Yusuf

عندما كان يُوسف في السجن ، كان يوسف الأحسن بشهادتهم " إنا نراك مِن المُحسنين " .. لكن الله أخرجَهم قبله !! وظلّ هو (رغم كل مميزاته) بعدهم في السجن بضعَ سنين !! (الأول خرج ليُصبح خادماً) ، (والثاني خرج ليقتل) ، (ويوسف انتظر كثيراً!!) لكنه .. خرج ليصبح " عزيز مصر " ، ليلاقي والديه ، وليفرح حد الاكتفاء ..

When the prophet Yusuf was in the prison, there were two prisoners with him. The two prisoners said to him "We find you the best among us"... So he was the best among at least the two of them.

But Allah have released them from the prison before Yusuf... Te first got out to become a servent... While the other got out to get killed...

While Yusuf, got out Late to become "Aziz Misr" (which is similar to the position of the .. nowadays "Prime Minister") of Egypt.... then to meet his father..then to get more than enough of happiness.

إلى كل أحلامنا المتأخرة :" تزيني أكثر ، فإن لكِ فأل يوسف " إلى كل الرائعين الذين تتأخر أمانيهم عن كل من يحيط بهم بضع سنين ،لا بأس .. دائماً ما يبقى إعلان المركز الأول ..لأخر الحفل !! إذا سبقك من هم معك ، فأعرف أن ما ستحصل عليه ..أكبر مما تتصور ? !!

The Wisdom We learn from this part of the story is:

We might have dreams been queuing for loooong time... and We might see others already fulfilled their dreams... We have to surrender to what Allah have written for us and wait for our Rizq to be sent from Allah at any time... No need to hurry to get our Rizq... It would come whenever Allah wrote it for us...and no one else would get our Rizq other than us... Just we need to wait for it.

قصة الحاكم و المستشار

قصة ...وحكمة....اكثر من رائعة!

A story.. A wisdom... More than great!

يحكى أن حاكماً متسلطاً كان لديه مستشار حكيم عاقل وكان هذا المستشار يردد عند كل حادثة وأمر جملة :

[ خير إن شاء الله ]

It's been told that there was a dictator king who has a wise consultant. It was known about the consultant saying "Khairun, IN SHA' ALLAH (Good, God Willing)."

وفي مرة كان الحاكم وحاشيته على مائدة الطعام فأصاب الحاكم اصبعه بالسكين أثناء التقطيع وانتثرت دمائه فهب إليه الجميع ومعهم المستشار الطيب وهو يردد :

[ خير إن شاء الله ، خير إن شاء الله ، خير إن شاء الله ]

Someday, while the king was eating, he cut his finger, so all the servants around him, including the consultant rush into the king trying to help him. Only the consultant kept saying what he always say "Khairun IN SHA' ALLAH, Khairun IN SHA' ALLAH,..."

فغضب عليه الحاكم غضباً شديداً وقال له أي خير في أن تقطع السكين أصبعي ؟

أنت أحمق ، خذوه إلى السجن ليتأدب

فسحبه الجند وهو يردد [ خير إن شاء الله ]

The king got very angry when he heard the consultant words and said to him "What Goodness there are in cutting my finger??? you are stupid." then shout "Guards, take this stupid to the jail to get mannered!"

While the guards sending him to the jail, the consultant repeating "Khairun IN SHA' ALLAH, Khairun IN SHA' ALLAH,..."

فقال الحاكم هذا الأحمق يقاد إلى السجن ويقول خير !! لتقضي بقية حياتك في السجن حتى تعرف الخير.

"Stay and spend all of your life in this prison you stupid, so you know what The khair is!" the king said

وبعد فترة قريبة حان موسم الصيد، وكان الحاكم يذهب مع حاشيته إلى الغابة لصيد الغزلان،والغزال حيوان حذر وحساس يتطلب صيده ترقب وصبر،كان الحاكم يدخل إلى الغابة لوحده برفقة المستشار فقط،وبما أن المستشار مسجون دخل الحاكم ورأي غزال بمفرده

وبينما هو يتعمق في الغابة ويتابع الغزال

The king used to go to the jungle to hunt Gazzelle, and used take his consultant with him. Now, his consultant is in the prison, The king decided to go and hunt alone. While he was searching in the jungle,

تفاجأ برجال من قبيلة متوحشة أمسكوا به وقيدوه وهو يصرخ وينادي ولا أحد يسمعه لبعده عن الحاشية

أخذته القبيلة واتضح أنهم يريدون تجهيزه قرباناً لآلهتهم واستسلم الحاكم لقدره.

a human-eater tribe men, hunted the king by a net, so he started to shout asking for help but in vein, no one can hear him. They tribe men took him back to their town in the middle of the jungle to slaughter him for their beloved god (LA ILAH ILLA ALLAH).

وأخذ يبكي ويتذكر أحواله وتسلطه على الناس .وفجأة حدث جدال وخلاف كبير بين أفراد القبيلة،ثم جاؤوا إليه وفكوه وقالوا اذهب لا حاجة لنا بك !

So the king started to cry and remembered how bad he was with his people, then gave up for his fate.

When they reached to the town, they put him in a cage while preparing for slaughtering him. Suddenly, the king hear a sound of argument among the tribe people. After a while, the tribe men came and released him and asked him to leave.

فتعجب الحاكم وقال هل هذه خدعة لتقتلوني وأنا أهرب ؟

قالوا لا لقد اتضح لنا أن اصبعك مقطوع وهذا لا يناسب آلهتنا،يجب أن يكون القربان مكتملاً بلا .عيب ولا نقص

So the king got surprised and asked them "are you trying trick me so you kill me while I'm running?!!"

"Your finger is cut", the tribe men answered, " and we can not submit your incomplete body to our god!!"

،فذهب الحاكم يركض وهو يبكي ويردد [ خير إن شاء الله ]

فتذكر كلام المستشار وكيف أن قطع أصبعه كان خيراً له فعلاً،وذهب إليه مباشرة في السجن أخرجه وقبله واعتذر منه

The king still in a shock, he started running while he still does not believe this miracle... so he kept saying "I hope it's Khairun IN SHA' ALLAH".

When he reached back to his castle, he decided to change his behavior with his people and servants. So he went to the jail and released his consultant and apologized to him and told him about everything happened with him how he has been saved because of his finger cut.

ولكن أخبرني أيهالمستشار أي خير في أن أدخلتك السجن ؟

قال يا مولاي .. ألست أرافقك وحدي دائماً في الغابة ؟

قال الحاكم بلى ! فقال المستشار:

فإن لم أكن في السجن لأمسكوني معك

ولأطلقوك وقدموني قرباناً فأنا لا عيب لدي ولا إصبع مصاب،فضحك الحاكم وتعجب من تقدير الله سبحانه وقال الآن أيقنت بأن كل سوء قد يكون وراءه خير لا نعلمه

Then the king asked his consultant saying "Man, I want to ask you one thing, why when I ordered to jail you, why did you keep saying "Khairun IN SHA' ALLAH"?

So the wise consultant answered him back "Haven't I come with you always to the jungle for hunting trips?"

"Yes!" the king answered

The consultant "So, if I was not in the Jail, the tribe would arrest both of us, then they will release you because of your finger cut, while they would slaughter me as my body if complete. So I the Jail saved my life. So, It was Khair."

The king laughed and have learnt that after every bad thing there might by a good thing... and since then the people always hear their king say "Khairun IN SHA' ALLAH."

إذا زرعــــــــت الأمــــانــــــــة فستحصـد الثقــــة

If you plant Trust , you would get Confidence

إذا زرعــــــــت الطيبـــــــة فستحصد الأصدقــــاء

If you plant Goodness , you would get Good-Friends

إذا زرعــــــــت التـواضـــع فستحصد الاحتـــــرام

If you plant Humility , you would get Respect

إذا زرعــــــــت المثـابــــــرة فستحصــد الرضـــــا

If you plant Perseverance , you would get Satisfaction

إذا زرعــــــــت التقـــــــديــر فستحصــد الاعتبار

If you plant Appreciation , you would get Consideration

إذا زرعــــــــت الاجتهــــاد فستحصـــد النجاح

If you plant Diligence , you would get Success

إذا زرعــــــــت الإيمـــــان فستحصد الطمـأنينـة

If you plant Self-Belief , you would get Peace-of-Mind

Five Most lovely deeds to Allah أحب خمسة أعمالٍ إلى الله عز و جل

قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم

أحبُّ الأعمال إلى الله عز وجل سرور تدخله على مسلم، أو تكشف عنه كربة، أو تقضي عنه دينا، أو تطرد عنه جوعا، ولئن أمشي مع أخي في حاجة أحب إلي من أن اعتكف في هذا المسجد شهر

The prophet Mohammad have told us:

" The most lovely deeds (We do) to Allah; a happiness you make for muslim brother/sister, or resolve a problem of his/her, or Pay a loan of his/her, or take his/her hunger away (feed him/her), and if I walk with my brother/sister helping him/her in doing something, it would be more lovely for me than if I stay do "I'TIKAF" in this Masjid for a month."

So Bani Adam, Let's Do these five deeds always.

ثمان أعجبتني

ثمان أعجبتني Eight I liked to Share

الأولى First

أني نظرت إلى الخلق فرأيت كل واحد يحب محبوبا فإذا ذهب إلى القبر فارقه محبوبة

فجعلت الحسنات محبوبي فإذا دخلت القبر دخلت معي .
I have looked to people so I saw each of them loves a lover, whenever that person dies and enters the grave, his lover would leave him. So I let My Good deeds to be those I love as they are the only ones who will stay with me after death.

الثانية Second
أني نظرت إلى قول الله تعالى:
{ وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ *
فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَىٰ } .( النازعات 40 , 41)
فأجهدت نفسي في دفع الهوى حتى استقرت علي طاعة الله
I have looked to the Saying of Allah in Qura'an in Surat Al-Nazi'at:
{But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust, (40) Lo! the Garden will be his home. (41)a}
So I worked hard to push the badness away from my soul till it got used to obey Allah.

الثالثة Third
أني نظرت إلى هذا الخلق فرأيت أن كل من معه شيء له قيمة
حفظه حتى لا يضيع فنظرت إلى قول الله تعالى:
{ مَا عِندَكُمْ يَنفَدُ وَمَا عِندَ اللَّـهِ بَاقٍ َ} ﴿النحل: ٩٦﴾ "
فكلما وقع في يدي شيء ذو قيمة وجهته لله ليحفظه عنده .
I have looked to those people so I saw each of them has some thing of a very high value, saving and protect it, afraid that he would lose it. then i have looked to the Saying Of Allah in Qur'an in Surat Al-Nahl:
{That which ye have wasteth away, and that which Allah hath remaineth. And verily We shall pay those who are steadfast a recompense in proportion to the best of what they used to do. (96)a}
So each time I get something valuable, I ٍsubmit it to Allah to keep it safe with him.

الرابعة Forth
أني نظرت إلى الخلق فرأيت كل يتباهى بماله أو حسبه أو نسبه
ثم نظرت إلى قول الله تعالى: "
{ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّـهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ } .﴿الحجرات: ١٣﴾
" فعملت في التقوى حتى أكون عند الله كريما .
I have looked to the people and have found that each of them is boasting of his money, or his family reputation, then I have looked to the saying of Allah in Qur'an in Surat Al-Hujurat (13):
{The Kindest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct.}a
So I have worked to gain TAQWA so May Allah considers me Kind.

الخامسة Fifth
أني نظرت في الخلق وهم يطعن بعضهم في بعض ويلعن بعضهم بعضا

وأصل هذا كله الحسد ثم نظرت إلى قول الله عز وجل: "
{ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّعِيشَتَهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا } ﴿الزخرف: ٣٢﴾
" فتركت الحسد واجتنبت الناس وعلمت أن القسمة من عند الله
فتركت الحسد عني
I have looked to People, found that each of them stabs the other, curse each other, and mainly all that came from the envy toward others. Then I looked to what Allah has told us in Qur'an in Surat Al-Zakhraf (32):
{We have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of the world.}a
So I knew that the envy is pointless, and Allah sends RIZIK to anyone at anytime Allah wants. So i stopped envying people for what they got.

السادسة Sixth
أني نظرت إلى الخلق يعادي بعضهم بعضا ويبغي بعضهم على بعض

ويقاتل بعضهم بعضا ونظرت إلى قول الله عز وجل:
{ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا} ﴿فاطر: ٦﴾
" فتركت عداوة الخلق وتفرغت لعداوة الشيطان وحده .
I have looked to the people to find that they antagonize and fight each other. When I looked to the verse in Qur'an in Surat Fatir:a
{He only summoneth his faction to be owners of the flaming Fire. (6).}a
So I left antagonizing my brothers from Adam and focused on antagonizing and fighting Al-Shaitan.

السابعة Seventh
أني نظرت إلى الخلق فرأيت كل واحد منهم يكابد نفسه ويذلها في طلب الرزق حتى أنه قد يدخل فيما لا يحل له
ونظرت إلى قول الله عز وجل: "
{ وَمَا مِن دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّـهِ رِزْقُهَا } .﴿هود: ٦﴾
" فعلمت أني واحد من هذه الدواب فاشتغلت بما لله علي
وتركت ما لي عنده .
I have looked to people so i found that each of them fighting the life to get money and some of them sell their honer for the sake of money. then I saw the verse from Qur'an in Surat Hood:a
{And there is not a beast in the earth but the sustenance thereof dependeth on Allah. }a

الثامنة Eight'th
أني نظرت إلى الخلق فرأيت كل مخلوق منهم متوكل على مخلوق مثله، هذا على ماله وهذا على ضيعته

وهذا على صحته وهذا على مركزه . ونظرت إلى قول الله تعالى: "
{ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّـهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ } .﴿الطلاق: ٣﴾
" فتركت التوكل على الخلق واجتهدت في التوكل على الله

Then I looked to the people when I found that each of them Depends on the other to do their duties, or depends on others money to survive. Then I read in Qur'an in Surat Al-Talaq (3):a
{And whosoever putteth his trust in Allah, He will suffice him.}a
So I left depending one others of my equivalents, and worked hard to depend on Allah as he is the only one who would send the RIZIK and the only one who would really help when needed.

لـِنكُنْ آروَاحْا رَاقِـيَـة
نَتسـامْى عَنْ سَفـاسِفَ الأمُـورْ وَعـَنْ كُـلْ مَـايَخِدشُ نـَقائِنـا
نًحترِمْ ذآتنـَا وَنـَحتـِرمْ الغَـيْر .. عِنـدَمـْا نتـَحدثْ نتحَـدثْ بِعُمـْق
نـَطلبْ بـأدبْ .. وَنشُكر بـِذوَقْ .. وَنـَعتذِرْ بِـصدقْ
نتـَرفـْع عَـن التفَاهـَاتـْ والقِيـلَ والقـَالْ ..

نُحِبْ بـِصَمتْ وَنغَضبْ بـِصَمتْ
وإنْ آردنـَا الـَرحِيلْ ..
نَرحـَلْ بـِصَمتْ
