NIGHT or MAGHRIB?

Before start reading the short article, have a look to the two pictures and ask yourself, which one among the two of them is night?.... Keep the answer with you.. then continue reading the article…

قال الله تعال في القرآن الكريم... بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم: آلّم * ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ * سورة البقرة 1-2

Allah have mentioned in Quran, By the name of Allah the beneficent the merciful: Alif. Lam. Mim. * This is the book whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those cautious from Allah. (Surat Al-Baqarah 1-2)

So if we want a clear guidance to Allah, we must follow the words of this book.

و في نفس السورة , جزء من آية 187, آية الصيام.. قال تعالى, بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم: ... ثُمَّ أَتِمُّوا الصِّيَامَ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ ... صدق الله العظيم

The same surah, precisely in the Ayat of Fasting, part of Ayat 187 states: “ ….Then strictly observe the fast till night …. “

Ramadhan is approaching and we have to do fasting as Allah has ordered us. I want us (Muslims) to focus on the word "ليل"/”LAIL”/“Night” mentioned in the Ayat Above… why? Because I have noticed that most of people break their fast as soon as AZAN/ATHAN Maghrib is up, which is not night yet, which is wrong and against the words of Quran. NOTICE that the Arabic word "ليل"/”LAIL” means “NIGHT” in English, not “NIGHTFALL” as mentioned in some translations. And a proof that Night does NOT means MAGHRIB, We Muslims have Solat Al-LAIL (Night Prayer) and we have Solat MAGHRIB.. those are two different prayers.

When I searched about it, I found that many of those who are being called as ULAMAA’ claimed that the night starts at AZAN MAGHRIB, supporting their claims with some HADITH which might not be true. And after all, why should I look for HADITH if I have a clear sentence in Quran?!!!!

I said ok, anyway, Let me check. So I waited for the Azan Maghrib and found that it is really NOT NIGHT at all… the sky still has light.. not even dark yet. So ACCORDING TO QURA’N, We CAN NOT break our fast at AZAN MAGHRIB, We need to wait for the night to cover the sky, which takes around 15 minutes after Solat MAGHRIB.

We have to correct our IBADAH according to the Quran.

During the Bosnian war which took place between the 6'th of April 1992, and the 14'th of December 1995, the Bosnian Serbs, supported by the Serbian government of Slobodan Milošević and the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), have done a long list of massacres, mass murders, and war crimes against Muslim Bosniak, the most famous were:

   7. Siege of Sarajevo

   8. Srebrenica massacre

The 44% of the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina population was Muslims. All of them faced ethnic cleansing, especially in eastern Bosnia and throughout the Republika Srpska. The Mass Rape was the main signature of the Bosnian Serbs where an estimated total of 20,000 to 50,000 Muslim women and Muslim girls (some aged as 12 years old) were raped. In addition, the Serbs soldiers applied forced abortion to many women who were pregnant. All this was done in full view, in complete knowledge and often with the direct involvement of the Serb local authorities, particularly the police forces. According to documents of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), based on the victims reports, some 3,000 Bosniaks were murdered during the violence in Višegrad and its surroundings, including some 600 women and 119 children.

ISLAM UNDER TERRORIST ATTACK (Kulen Vakuf massacre): 

September 1941, Yugoslavia in Kulen Vakuf, Over 1600 Muslim men, women and children were killed by Partisans (The National Liberation Army and Partisan Detachments of Yugoslavia) and local peasants. None of the Muslims living in that area have survived that massacre, not even babies.

Algeria, May of 1945, Muslim villages were bombed by French aircraft and the cruiser Duguay-Trouin standing off the coast, in the Gulf of Bougie, shelled Kerrata. Pied noir vigilantes lynched prisoners taken from local gaols or randomly shot Muslims. The victims were 6000 unarmed Muslim villagers including men, women, children, and old citizens.

10’th of March, 1906, a U.S. Army force of 540 soldiers under the command of Major General Leonard Wood, accompanied by a naval detachment and with a detachment of native constabulary, armed with artillery and small firearms, attacked a Muslim village hidden in the crater of a dormant volcano, Bud Dajo, Jolo Island,Philippines. The victims were 800-1000 unarmed men, women, children and old people.

Two Questions With Two Simple Answers!

By The Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, and The Most Merciful

    Nowadays, unfortunately, a lot of Muslims do not know what exactly happened during AASHOORAA’ (on the 10’th of Muharram). Well, around 19 of the Family of Rasul Allah “AHLO AL-BAIT”, in addition to 50 of the Rasul Allah Family followers have been killed in this day in Karbalaa’.

    Both sides; Sunni and Shia know that who killed Al-Hussain and all the others with him was an AMAWY Army (A Muslim Army belongs to YAZID BIN MOAWIYHA BIN ABI SUFYAN)… But the two sides disagreed about “Did YAZID Order his army to kill Al-Hussain and all the rest… or the army behaved up to their opinion?!”… Well, Sunni People say the Answer is “NO, YAZID did not” and they have their proof story version.. While Shia say that answer is “YES, YAZID did” and they have their other proof story version. So, The Question here is “Who to believe?!”… For me, the Answer is “For two reasons it does not matter, that we cannot confirm the truth of any of the two versions and Allah knows the truth and Allah will punish the killers”.

    Unfortunately, the nowadays Muslim nation is in its ugliest face, Sunni hate until death shia, and Shia hate until death the Sunni, Sunni killing Shia, and Shia Killing Sunni, all for faulty reasons as each of them pretend to be the true Muslim. If we back to the Islamic teachings those Rasul Allah have taught us, we would find that to be Muslims, we have to do 5 thing (ONLY 5), very simple, those are; 

    1- Saying and believing the Shahadah (There is not god other than Allah and      

        Muhammad S.A.W is the Prophet sent by Allah), 

    2- Salat (Pray Five times a day), 

    3- Zakat (Annually for our money), 

    4- Fasting (During Ramdhan), 

    5- and Haj (Visiting Al-Ka’bah during the Haj Time). 

    If you have noticed, both of Sunni and Shia believe in this teaching and they apply it, WHICH MEANS, Both of Sunni and Shia are Muslims.

    So, We as Muslims, What is required from us to do? According to my opinion, We have to know that ASHOORAA was a tragedy day for ALL Muslims, We have to read what had happened to Al-Husain and the others with him, and finally and above all, We have to carry on with what Al-Hussain and his followers were doing at that time… So what they all were doing? Al-Hussain answered back to this question by saying: ”I am going out to fix and correct The nation of my Grandfather Rasul Allah S.A.W. and put them back to the correct Islam way.” And that is exactly what we, all Muslims, should do starting with ourselves, we do need to fix ourselves and our ideas by strictly following the Islamic teachings (Can find in Qur’an) such as being merciful, forgiving, kind, honest, accepting other people opinions, SHURA (Discussing our different opinions to take the hand of this Muslim Ummah to move forward and reach the best), learn about each other, Love each other (as after all we still brothers in Islam and from Adam), wish the best for each other, Respect Non-Muslims as Rasul Alah have done with Christians and Jewish, and a lot of other noble teachings …etc.
